It is one of Deols most recognized characters till date which got a stunning reception from the viewers. Abhay Deol broke away from the shackles of commercial cinema yet again  in 2012 by  starring  in two political thrillers , Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai  and in PrakashJha’s Chakravyuh  which subsequently went on to be two of the most sought after performances of his  whole career .Abhay Deol has been discussed among media as an actor whose primary strength is the depiction of highly complex ,intriguing  character’s .After a small cameo in Raanjhanaa Starring Dhanush , Abhay Deol went on to be a part of the English romantic time travel adventure film The Lovers in 2013   where he also served in post-production works too .  Then Deol’s career took a downward leap with the disaster romantic comedy One By Two  which was put under heavy criticism from all corners for possibly everything ,he performed as the co-producer  of that rather forgettable outing .Happy Bhag Jayegi is Deol’s last  release which performed fairly good business .Abhay Deol’s upcoming movies are Rock the Shaadi and Bounty Hunter
