Ishq Junoon Movie Review
Star Cast:· Divya Singh, Rajbeer Singh, Akshay Rangshahi
Director: Sanjay Sharma
Producer: Anuj Sharma, Vinay Gupta
Rating: 1/5 – Terrible Stuff
Like: There is nothing there in the film to like
Dislike: Nearly everything in the film is poor.
Story: Pakhi is a girl from a small town but thinks big. She wants to have a luxurious life and is impatient in her pursuit. She has given up all the middle class baggage and lives life on her own terms. She doesn’t want to work hard for the money, so the most easy thing to do is to trap a rich guy and she does! But the rich guy Raj (Rajbeer Singh) takes her to a farmhouse where she meets Raj’s brother Vir (Akshay Rangasahi). Things start to get rather strange from then on.
- Screenplay/Dialogues: The aim of the film is apparent from the posters itself. The makers want to titillate the audience. People going into the theatre with that aim are bound to get majorly disappointed as the film has very little hot and steamy scenes. For a film supposed to be about a threesome there is not even an actual threesome in the film. The screenplay has a generous amount of strange stuff like a grown woman making love to two teenage boys, a horny guy who thinks of threesome but only in a marriage. Believe us, the film is w-e-i-r-d.
- Direction: Ishq Junoon comes across as a b-grade film due to the sloppy direction. Instead of getting aroused the audience would find themselves laughing at the film. It is quite unintentionally hilarious.
- Editing: The editing could have made the first half more crisp.
- Music and Lyrics: Music doesn’t play a major role in the film.
Final Verdict: Ishq Junoon is not only a bad film, but neither does it fulfill the promise of titillation. It rather ends up making a fool of itself.
