Rumours are on that after six years Farhan Akhtar is set to turn director again for the third installment of the Hit franchise, ' Don' . The actor filmmaker just gave a positive nod to his first film of the year and it will be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.
According to a source close to the two, Ashutosh Gowariker's earlier films were outings set in British Raj like the one he had directed for ' Lagaan' in 2001, or Jodha-Akhar was a historical film in 2008 ,followed by 2010, period drama , ' Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' which unveiled the backdrop of 1930's Chitagong Uprising and then the last year was ' Mohenjo Daro' a romantic adventure, Ashutosh this time is taking a break from the subject on History , His new film will be on the contemporary settings with a stylish and modern , action packed outing which will unfold in Europe.
Farhan will be the leading man and the hunt for an actress opposite to him is underway . Ashutosh and Farhan have been friends for over 16 years now since the time he was busy with 'Lagaan' and latter was with ' Dil Chahta Hai' which released in the same year. The film had one thing in common. Both had the superstar Aamir Khan in the lead role which had the two directors juggling for his dates. Little did he know then that one day Ashutosh Gowarikar would be directing a film for him. A film which will roll on this year.
