Malang Movie Review: A Revenge Story With A Screen Full Of Action And Romance

Songs and the trailer of mega starrer film Malang have been in newsflash and fans were waiting for the movie since long. The movie absolutely wins the hearts and proves to be a worth waiting for!

The story is plotted in Goa where a soft, shy and calm guy Adwait (Aditya Roy Kapur) meets Sara (Disha Patani), an easy going blithe girl from London who visits india for the first time. They fall in love and involve in some issues as Adwait had an unstable life since many years and was involved in police cases. The way the story is plotted and reaches to the climax is appreciable.

Mohit Suri’s last movie Half Girlfriend unfortunately couldn’t do much on box office, but Malang will lead him to earn name and fame. His direction is above perfection. The movie starts with a striking action scene. Aditya bosses the action scenes in the movie. The first half moves fast as a story, is damn engaging and will make you think that the story is predictable (though it is not). The second half has twists, fight scenes and it connects the story as a whole. The second half in a way is the charm of the movie. The climax of the movie is just perfect and well shot. Overall, it is an unpredictable, complicated, well written and very well plotted story. After a long time, you will watch a movie that has music, drama, action, romance, and thrill as of an international movie, but thankfully is not an adaptation of any international story!

Disha and Aditya are sure to set some love goals as the chemistry between them is amazing on screen. You will not be able to take your eyes off Disha’s beauty. She looks simply glamorous, beautiful and fit to character. Her smile is enough to kill the audience. Aditya looks perfect as a boy having an unstable life and passing through many ups and downs. After a long time Kunal Khemu has got a longer screen time and a main character to play. He doesn’t fail to nail it. His action timings and strident performance is something you must watch in the movie. No one but Anil Kapoor only could fit as the police officer who doesn’t follow any rules. He is young, dashing and charming. You will love the charisma he shares on screen. Beside all these leads, Elli AvrRam is good too.

Talking about the detailing, music of the movie is marvelous; the lyrics are to mutter in your relaxing time. The songs will be cherished for the life time in lovers’ hearts. The lyrics of the title track Malang is my personal favorite while Humraah is the best shot song. You might find dialogues weak at some points. Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapoor getting beaten up is the scene you will remember for weeks having the after effects of the movie. I skipped a beat there. The technicians have done a great job and made colors and editing look so live in the movie. Aseem Arrora’s writing has done wonders and will take the movie to the next level.

It’s a must watch if you are an Anil Kapoor’s fan (like I am) and you have been missing a real thriller fictional movie. This is one is for sure the fictional to watch this week. We rate it 4 hearts out of 5. <3
