Jai studies culinary art and is focused on becoming a great successful chef some day. At his class he meets a beautiful Swedish girl called Sophie. After a few initial tiffs and misunderstandings the two become great friends. Slowly Jai and Sophie fall in love. Sophie without any hesitation, takes Jai to meet her parents. Sophie’s parents Norman and Claire don’t think highly of Jai as he is an Indian. In fact Norman, who used to be one of the slave masters in the olden days, thinks Indian’s are inferior and is upset with his daughter’s choice of groom.

However the two lovers are adamant that they want to get married and are perfect for each other. The two plan to elope and secretly plan a date and time to meet. However Jai doesn’t show up and thus breaks Sophie’s heart who eventually agrees to marry Gordon, who is chosen by her parents.
