Rewa, played by Tabu and Sia, played by Sushmita Sen are the best of friends and share their happiness as well as their miseries together. There is hardly any secret that have kept from each other. Rewa is family oriented and wants to marry and have children, while Sia is more career oriented and wants to be free from any commitments. Sia’s boyfriend Sahil, played by Palash Sen has already proposed to her many times but she has turned her down. He is however determined to marry her someday. Rewa meanwhile meets Dhruv, played by Sanjay Suri and they fall in love soon the two tie the knot. Their beautiful married journey begins but is interrupted by a hiccup on the way. Rewa finds out that she is unable to conceive. She goes to many doctors and all the treatments don’t seem to help her. She gets immense support during this tough time from husband Dhruv and best friend Sia.
As time goes by, Rewa feels the despair of not being able to have children and slips into depression. Sia, who is disturbed by her friend’s plight, offers her a solution. She offers to be the surrogate mother to Rewa and Dhruv’s child. Dhruv reluctantly agrees and Rewa is overjoyed. Soon Sahil learns the truth and breaks off with Sia as he is opposed to the idea. As time passes, Rewa and Sia start getting at logger heads. Sia gets jealous that she cannot have the joy of carrying a child, while Rewa and Dhruv are happily spending quality time together. Soon she gives birth to a baby girl and Rewa and Dhruv accept reality and move away with their child while Sia and Sahil rekindle their romance and agree to get married.
