Joginder Singh is an honest and diligent cop living with his wife, two sons Vijay and Rakesh and also a daughter named Jyoti. Rakesh who is also a cop one day arrests dreaded underworld gangster Alexander’s henchman named Kalicharan. He is however let out on bail by hi son. Alexander is then nabbed by the cops and not taking this insult lightly, he decides to take revenge. He then abducts and molests Jyoti. Jogender Singh is furious at hearing this and kills a man at the scene of the crime assuming it was him who attacked his daughter. The truth however is far from what he imagines.
The film is directed by V Joshi and produced by K Pappu and Raj Kanwar. The music is composed by Rati and R D Burman. The screenplay is by Gyandev Agnihotri. The star cast includes Raaj Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Agnihotri, Danny Denzongpa, Suresh Oberoi, Mohnish Bahl and Tanuja.
