In a small town, Bhavani and her family, who run a struggling biryani hotel, are forced to borrow money from a ruthless lender, Rocket Ravi, after a new bypass road decimates their business. When they are swindled by MLA Adaikalaraj after fulfilling a large catering order, Bhavani’s grandfather, Thangasamy, is left injured and needing an expensive surgery. Hoping against hope, Bhavani approaches Ravi, and finds herself caught in a wider conspiracy of corruption by Adaikalaraj, a money fraud, and murder. While lawyer Poongundran accepts a case against Adaikalaraj, the MLA's violent plans are further amplified. Adaikalaraj hires a contract killer, Pottu Bhavani, to eliminate Poongundran, but a twist of fate leads Bhavani’s family to mistakenly receive the killer's fee, which they use for the surgery. With Adaikalaraj's goons threatening to return the money, the family is caught in a tricky situation.
Things get even riskier when Poongundran is poisoned by Pottu Bhavani, and his death inadvertently embroils the family in a series of confusing events. To cover up the murder, they dress up the corpse of Poongundran and utilize it to their own benefit, playing on his death for personal ends.
With Adaikalaraj and his goons on their tail, Bhavani, her daughters, and reluctant co-conspirator Kanniga hatch a clever scheme to drain ₹10 crore from Poongundran's joint bank account. In a suspenseful climax, the family uses the dead body of Poongundran to trick their pursuers and access the money.
Finally, Bhavani saves herself at church, considering how far her family went in order to live and how they sold their morals while doing so.
