Rakesh(Feroz Khan) whose life had turned upside down with ups and downs due to his father’s murder. Years later he finds out his father’s killer is moving around scott free and the police have closed his case file. Rakesh decides to avenge the death of his father and get to the man who killed his father who has commited the crime and is a culprit. He befriends a young friend Shera (Danny Denzongpa) and meets a young girl Durga (Parveen Babi) whom he falls in love with.
Rakesh to get to the truth joins the underworld empire built by his father’s killer, Sardar Poppy Singh who also sells drugs. Durga and Shera his friends are in for a shock to see Rakesh joining hands with the underworld gang and even to prove his loyalty to them has killed a police officer. What is the reason behind his act of being friendly with Sardar Poppy Singh. ? Will it get him closer to his goal of reaching out to the culprit and thus taking law in his hands?
