Pramila is a college lecturer and is a devoted wife. However, she is torn between being a dutiful wife and a lover of his friend Atish. She is not sure if the love she feels is real or just another passing affair. However when her husband dies, Pramila joins Atish in his home in the midst of a lush forest. Meanwhile there is a superstition among the tribal people in the forest about a rare bird called the ‘Kasturi’. The bird seems to have entered the house of Atish and Pramila. The film is directed and produced by Bimal Dutt. The music is composed by Uttam Singh. The star cast includes Parikshit Sahni, Mithun Chakraborty, Nutan, Shreeram Lagu, Arvind Deshpande, Sadhu Meher, Sulbha Deshpande and Dulari.
