Namumkin is a hindi film of the mystery-drama genre.This hindi movie is directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and its story, screenplay and dialogues are written by D.N. Mukhejee, Bidhu S.Jha and Ashok Rawat respectively and its music is given by R.D.Burman and its songs are as follows: ‘’Ae Zindagi “ female version sung by Anuradha Paudwal and male version sung by Kishore Kumar followed by the next song,”Bahut Door Hoke” sung by Kishore Kumar and lastly ‘’Saath Aisa Lagta Hai’’ sung by Lata Mangeshkar. This hindi film’s story begins with Sunil Kapoor(Raj Babbar) who is a NRI living in Canada who comes across a photograph of Shobha(Zeenat Aman) in the newspaper. Later, he realizes that Shobha was the same woman who was supposed to marry his old friend named Shakti Kaul. As the backstory of Shobha was previously she had mysteriously disappeared from India during the violent anti-Asian riots and had reached Uganda. Further, Sunil gets a little bit suspicious about her sudden disappearance, then he decides to track Shobha alongwith Shakti wherein he comes across about her devastating truth that she is an orphan and has no family and her life is fully surrounded with several layers of mystery. Further, they both come to know about her husband named Ashok Saxena(Dr.Shreeram Lagoo) who was said to be a heavy drinker which was the cause of his sudden death. Then , their search leads them to find out various rigid webs of lies and circumstances around the death of Ashok Saxena. Later, they both come across an old friend of Ashok named Joseph D’souza(Sanjeev Kumar) who provides them various clues which help them in reaching the main culprit who has killed him.
