Hari Singh, played by Mithun Chakraborty is happily married to Laxmi for more than 40 years and has a son who is working in America. His daughter-in-law Divya and granddaughter Sonia have been living with them. They are a small and happy family with very little conflict. Tragedy strikes in the household when Laxmi passes away. The family is broken and shattered. Especially Hari, who has now lost his love and companion. He starts spending more time with his granddaughter Sonia. Hari also begins to connect with his old school mates.
One day he happens to meet an old class mate named Ganga, played by Dimple Kapadia and they start reminiscing their old times together and bonding over them. As time passes by Ganga and Hari become very close and begin to fall in love with each other. He starts lying to his daughter-in-law about his meetings with Ganga and doesn’t reveal much about his relationship. When she finds out she gets shocked and thinks he isn’t a good influence on her daughter Sonia for keeping such a relationship at this age. However, Ganga and Hari are persistent.
The movie is directed by V.K Prakash and is produced by Pradeep Guha and Ronnie Screwvala. The music is composed by Shantanu Moitra.
