Thamma is one of the recently released movies of the horror-thriller genre. This new film’s story is about a curious historian who uncovers some of the haunting clues in ancient manuscripts that propel him into the dark heart of the vampire myths that are originated in the India’s Vijayanagara Empire. In a more distant past, two people began an unfulfilled love with his vampire-turned figure and his mortal love culminating in unspeakable tragedy. Their passion and pain echo through centuries, casting shadows into the present.
However, back in today’s world, the historian (Thama) follows the emotional trail that is guided by clues and hidden diaries leading him deeper into the vine-wrapped ruins of forgotten temples and secret rituals. He must unravel the binding curse on the vampire’s soul to know if love or power stands behind that endless torment.
While the legends are brought to life, a mighty vampire villain who thirsts for revenge against the present forms the setting perfect for a climactic confrontation. The historian has to balance the lore he uncovers with the emotional truth buried beneath while discovering that unravelling the myth means confronting horrifying, personal stakes.
Thamma is one of the recent movie releases that weaves horror, comedy, mythology, and romance into a ‘bloody love story’, a tale of undying love, supernatural legacy.
