The Bhootnii is one of the recently released movies of the horror-drama genre. This new film’s story is about the terrifying wrath of a young girl’s incomplete love. The story starts with Shantanu and Ananya, two college students whose romantic relationship becomes the main target of a malevolent spirit. Then, their college campus becomes the home to a cursed ‘virgin tree,’ that is believed to be a sign to bring in luck to the love. However, a wave of sudden deaths plagues the campus that leads to fears that a spirit has been residing in the tree that could be responsible for these random deaths. Then, the campus authorities seek the help of a priest in order to ward off the spirits. During this scenario, the spirit’s next target becomes Shantanu, who recently had a breakup despite of wishing upon the virgin tree to bring him true love. This act somehow awakens the spirit of Karishma, a girl whose love was tragically left unaccomplished. Initially, Shantanu looks upon Karishma as a beautiful woman, but soon comes to know about her true and ghostly nature. Alter, as Shantanu realizes her identity, then this spirit targets Ananya because of the fact that Shantanu loves Ananya. What will happen further? Will shantanu be able to save Ananya from the spirit? Will the priest help him in saving her from the shadows of the evil spirit? This is one of the recent movie releases that has entertained the audiences with its drama, thrill and suspense with the coloristic visuals and a realistic storyline.
