The horrifying memories of Delhi's Uphaar cinema fire are about to resurface. On this incident, Netflix has announced the web series Trial by Fire, which will be released in January. The poster of the series was released on Wednesday. Abhay Deol and Rajshree Deshpande are going to be seen in the lead roles in this web series. This is a limited series, which will have only one season. In 1997, Uphaar cinema fire claimed 59 lives. The series will be streamed on 13 January. The story of the series is adapted from the book Trial by Fire - The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamurthy. The show is directed by Prashant Nair.

Rajshree and Abhay will be seen in the role of Neelam and Shekhar. The couple had lost two children in the fire and fought a long legal battle for justice. In a statement, Nair said that Krishnamurthy exemplifies the kind of passion and passion needed to move a needle in this country. What happened to him and the way he fought the legal battle is horrifying. It is unfortunate that many such people still exist today.
