At the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit, WAVES 2025 in Mumbai featured the finalists and winners. The dynamic showcase ranged from classical Indian music with ‘Wah Ustad’ to the fusion, ‘Symphony of India’.
It included the performances from ‘Battle of the Brands’ at the Create India Challenge, which showcased the diverse musical lineup. WAVES Summit 2025, the four-day event inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, witnessed the award show which celebrated the creativity, innovation and the spirit of Make in India.
At the Create in India Challenge, the competition it aimed to spotlight diverse musical talent and creative expressions. The WAVES created a platform for showcasing the best of Indian and global creative talents.
The award show was hosted by Karan Singh Chhabra and saw over one lakh participants from over 60 countries. Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of India Today Group, Aroon Puri was among the presenters at the Awards Show.

For Music Category – The award was presented by Chairperson, Central Board of Film Certification, Prasoon Joshi. For Community Radio Content Challenge –The awards were Bronze: Radio Manjeera 90.8 FM, Silver: Apna Radio 96.9 FM and Gold: Barh Patna Community Radio.
The event featured performances from various genres, which included fusion music and classical Indian music. The Symphony of India challenge was for the musicians to create original compositions and recreate traditional folk songs, which culminated and a large symphony performed at the WAVES platform.
The event also showcased the variety of other performances led by renowned musicians, a performance by the Tetseo Sisters and a cinematic act by Indian film actor-producer Anupam Kher.
