Actress Mrunal Thakur recently expressed her immense pride and joy over the Marathi blockbuster 'Dashavatar', which has become the first Marathi film to win hearts beyond linguistic boundaries and now gearing up for its Malayalam release on November 21. The Movie, starring veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar and directed by Subodh Khanolkar, has already garnered critical and commercial success all over India and internationally as well. Mrunal, who proudly represents Maharashtra while working across Bollywood and South Indian cinema, hailed this as a “proud moment for Marathi cinema.”

Sharing her excitement on social media, she wrote, “Just finished watching Dashavatar. What a wonderful family watch! The first Marathi blockbuster to win hearts in Malayalam too — this is such a proud moment for Marathi cinema! So happy to see our stories reaching new audiences.” She went on to appreciate veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, saying, “वय फक्त एक आकडा ठरू शकतो, पण तुमची ऊर्जा, समर्पण आणि कामगिरी ८१व्या वर्षीही तितकीच तेजस्वी आहे.” (Age is just a number, but your energy, dedication, and brilliance continue to shine even at 81!) Mrunal also praised director Subodh Khanolkar, adding, “Your vision and command over the film don’t feel like a debut. It’s incredibly impressive.”

In Bollywood, she will next be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, a light-hearted romantic comedy directed by David Dhawan.
