Model/actress Lopamudra Raut has entertained her fans with some commendable work in projects like The Verdict - State Vs Nanavati' (2019) and 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi' (2008). The talented actress will now portray the role of MJ in the upcoming series ‘The Socho Project’. It will be a musical web series where the struggles of 7 rising musicians is documented. Speaking about the same Lopamudra said, “Initially, when I was approached for 'The Socho Project', the team had set a very glamorous role for me because of my social media and previous work. However, when they met me for the first time in my T-shirt and my denims, with no make-up or no hair done, it was as if MJ’s character was built for me.”

Speaking of her own struggles in the industry Raut said, “Honestly, portraying this role wasn’t that difficult for me because even though it was a completely different field, I do empathize with that kind of ambition, and that feeling towards people in Mumbai. I myself am an outsider and I empathize with people from different parts of the country struggling in Mumbai, trying to get their foot in the door. It wasn’t very difficult, but yes, I did have to learn a few things.”

The Socho Project is produced by Mrinal Abhigyan Jha Productions (MAJ). It boasts an ensemble cast of Lopamudra Raut, Gaurav Khanna, Gunjan Utreja, Gurpreet Bedi, Donal Bisht, Sahil Vaid, Alekh Sangal and Arif Zakaria.
