Amit Kumar's The Bypass (2003) featuring Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is expected to be screened at the Bandra Film Festival on August 30 under the theme Hidden Gems. Composed and directed by Kumar, this serene short film was shot on a deserted road in Rajasthan. Before being screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Aubagne Film Festival, The Bypass features two companions, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sundar Dan, who each time again ransack and eventually murder people traveling by road. We do. The late Irrfan Khan played the role of a bad cop.

In a proclamation, Kumar shared, "In my most memorable film, The Bypass, I had the pleasure of uniting two of the finest entertainers - the late Irrfan and Nawaz. It was one of those times when everything went flawlessly: Brilliant cast, great group and memorable areas. My film is also a recognition for the quiet times, where the lack of acting, and the key areas of strength for visual narration were the main tools of filmmaking."
