Renowned filmmaker and actor Lalit Behl known for directing and producing telefilms like Tapish', 'Aatish' and ‘Sunehri Jild’ passed away yesterday due to Covid complications. The veteran actor had heart ailments and contracted the corona virus a few days ago. He was rushed to the hospital where he was receiving treatment. However his condition worsened and he never made it back. His son Kanu stated, “He passed away in the afternoon. He had a history of heart ailments and had COVID, so it got complicated. He had an infection in his lungs which got severe and that, with the previous medical history he had, complicated his health further.”

 

Actor Adil Hussain who played the role of Lalit’s son in the film ‘Mukti Bhawan’ sent his condolences writing, “Extremely saddened by the demise of one of my dearest and most respected co-actors, Lalit Behl jee. Who, so brilliantly played the father in @MuktiBhawan! I feel the loss of my father again! Dear Kanu I am so very sorry for your loss.”
