Kaabil hit the screen and it was as if a fresh start for Hrithik Roshan. But before this he was seen in Ashutosh Gowariker directed film Mohenjodaro opposite a newbie Pooja Hegde. The films did not do well at all, at the box office as well as with the critics! However, Ashutosh Gowariker is still known for his larger than life films like Lagaan, Swades and Jodhaa Akbar! He was also recently seen acting in a super hit film Marathi film produced by Priyanka Chopra, ‘Ventilator’. After that the ace director came once again in the limelight and recently at an award function he revealed his plans further!
Ashutosh Gowarikar is soon to announce his next project. “I have not decided what I want to do next, but soon in four weeks, I will be able to make an announcement about my next project,” Gowariker said on the sidelines of the Lokmat Stylish awards here on Tuesday night. According to the buzz, Ashutosh will be teaming up with Hrithik Roshan for his next film. His last directorial, the Hrithik and Pooja Hegde starrer “Mohenjo Daro”, tanked at the box office and was dismissed by critics too.
Asked about his style statement, Gowariker said: “For me, it’s 50 per cent what you are and 50 per cent what you project.” Who is the most stylish actor or actress in Bollywood? “I can’t single out any one name. All are very stylish. They are stylish, that’s why they are the stars,” he said.
Now if the speculations hold true, this will be Hrithik Roshan’s second movie with Ashutosh after the much loved Jodhaa Akbar which starred Hrithik as Emperor Akbar while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Rajput queen Jodhaa. Now even though Mohenjodaro did not garner much love from the fans, we still would like to see Hrihik and Ashutosh team up. Who knows, we may get a fresh blockbuster just like Jodhaa Akbar! After all who wouldn’t like to see the Greek God donning another brand new character in Ashutosh Gowariker’s magnum opus? Let’s hope that this works out and we get another hit performance by Hrithik like in Kaabil!
Will the duo be able to create magic just like in Jodhaa Akbar?
