Dhananjay Dhawan Patil's film 'Raktdhar' aims to bring forth the truth of transgender's life.

'Raktdar' directed by Ajit Verma and produced by Dhananjay Dhawan Patil aims at bringing out awareness and to resolve help to the transgender community.The film features Shakti Kapoor, Mukesh Rishi, Shahbaaz Khan, Ehsaan Khan, Deepsikha Naagpal, Manish Khanna and Archita Banerjee. The trailer of the film has been launched in the presence of the Maharashtra Women's Commission Chairperson Chitra Wagh who extended her support to the film and its cause.

In her report she wrote that there are laws written to help and support by the Government of India to the transgender community and to bring out the awareness and help to resolve the problem.The film is based on issue which is not discussed openly and talks about the challenges faced by the transgender and till date they are not accepted by the society . Even today though the world has seen a major change towards modernism, the transgender face problems to voice their opinion. The film brings forth the part that the society needs to change its outlook towards a transgender and that they have equal right to live in the society peacefully.


Shakti Kapoor has done a brilliant job and will be seen in a role as never before. His current character in the film is amazing . The film has its base about the death of his friend and the terrible treatment they are given by the officials.Jointly produced by Patil and Rajan Gupta under the banner of Chitra Films, the film Raktdar is scheduled for its release on 6th October 2017.
