Director Vikramaditya Motwane wants to take the risk as a filmmaker for the film, ‘Trapped’

Vikramaditya Motwane says he decided to make Trapped because he wanted to take a risk as a filmmaker and did not want to confine his directorial abilities.

Vikramaditya Motwane did not want to restrict his directorial abilities and is willing to take a risk on directing the film , ‘Trapped’ a survival drama thriller played by Rajkummar Rao.

The story is about a guy named Shaurya who gets trapped in his own house in a high rise building which does not have an escape route.  The film is gripping with some funny scenes, a drama basically and will have elements that will keep the audience in a thrill.  As a director Vikramaditya is very happy with this new experience .

The film had its world premier last year at the  Jio MAMI Mumbai International Film Festival and this film in particular received a standing ovation. Motwane felt the myth is broken that films cater to only a particular section of audience, and on the contrary the film depends a lot on the people’s interest in the subject as well with social media platforms like You Tube, trend is changing .  Today’s audience like to watch a small or a big budget film . ‘Trapped’ however is not a small film and it’s a film that is a choice of audience ultimately.
