Films that didn’t do well but the sequels is something that we like to watch again.

Bollywood comes up with good and bad films and yet the mass audience would love to see it again and again.. There are films that create an edge over others and become popular and have followers no matter how the film runs at the Box office. Yet continue to attract the audience and when the sequels are made the public is excited and looking forward to watching it.

Creating sequels of the films is become a trend now . Almost every few months we have a new sequel of a film that has either done well in its first innings and gained popularity or has had poor reviews yet again they have their own franchise or the second installment, second outing etc.

The few most recent sequel that is drawing the crowd is Baahubali set to release its second innings.

Films that are sequels and have left the fans crazy and drew a crowd for its 2nd innings were films like Dabangg, for all for the crazy fans of Salman Khan wanting for more, while Baahubali could be a single threat to the Bollywood films and with its sequel that is coming up fans are actually losing their minds , well such films do deserve a sequel .

However the films that did not do well in their first outing also are not left behind when it comes to producing a sequel and could have been avoided but on a surprise note these sequels are still drawing the crowd despite the first stint not being a success. To quote a few,

Baaghi 2, with Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor, the hardworking actor of this generation is an action hero and we all liked him in the film but there was nothing very special about the film that the audience would want to watch him, or the film again, the 2nd time yet if the rumours are true , Baaghi 2 is being made again and the plot this time has something new to offer.

We wonder why the filmmakers think of making a sequel of the film that didn’t do too well and when the first film has not hit at the box office run, the second one is on its way in the making with Commando 2 which is already receiving negative reviews

Raaz however did quite well in its first installment and actually managed to scare the audience being an horror outing when the ghost starts haunting the young couple , but in the sequels, the films lost its track in Raaz 2 and Raaz 3 and in fact the fourth run, Raaz Reboot was released in September 2016 by which time the essence of the Raaz Series is lost, throwing the film in a poor light.

Hate story 2 , 2014, directed by Vishal Pandya and Produced by T.Series is a sequel of the sleeper hit Hate Story of 2012, has Sushant Singh and Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali in leading roles. The film had more lust then hate and yet when we see Sharman Joshi the talented actor in its 2nd installment, of the Hate story series, we are only left wondering what to expect ??

Kya Super Kool Hai Hum was yet another film that left the audience disgusted as it showed women as an object and far from a comedy as a selling point . People were wanting their money back. The 2012 Bollywood Sex comedy film directed by Sachin Yardi and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor . the film was a sequel to the 2005 sleeper hit film Kyaa Kool Hai Hum in its second installment and had the original cast of Ritesh Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor . The film despite declared as a semi hit went on to make a sequel of Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 in 2016 again and Indian adult comedy starring Tusshar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani and Mandana Karimi in the leading roles along with many other stars like Gizele Thakral, Claudia Ciesla , Krishna Abhishek , Shakti Kapoor and Dharshan Jariwala in a prominent roles in the film were not promising enough to carry on the film. The film got an ‘ A’ certification from the CBFC for its strong reference to sex and went through several cuts before the board finally passed it and after all this , the film went on to do only average at the Box office.
