Konkana Sen bags Best Director and Best Actress Awards at New York Indian Film Festival.

Actress Konkana Sen  has always portrayed flawless performances in every film that she has essayed and she makes you believe in the character she portrays.   She is one of the most sought after actress today in Hindi Cinema.

Konkana made her directorial debut with ' A Death in the Gunj' wherein she won the Best Director Award at the New York Film Festival and also won the Best Actress Award for her performance in the film, ' Lipstick Under My Burkha' .

Konkana's directorial venture titled, ' A Death in the Gunj' starring Kalki Koechlin, Vikrant Massey, Jim Sarbh and Tanuja is a film that is set in the town of McCluskieganj a small hilly town in Jharkhand shot during the Winter of 1979.  What starts off as a family holiday turns out to be eventful with twists when their guests start playing with the spirits.  It's not real but it suggests the way the group portray until the holiday ends resulting in an unavoidable event.

Actress Konkana Sen should be given her due and brought to limelight for her talent for her versatility and dedication towards cinema and she is one of the few actresses who will take Bollywood on to the globe map.
