After a long haul actress Manisha Koirala who returned in the role as actress Nargis for Sanjay Dutt's biopic film is back again on screen in Sunaina Bhatnagar's directorial debut film, ' Dear Maya'. Sunaina who had earlier assisted in the films like ' Jab we Met' , 'Love Aaj Kal', 'Rockstar' , the 45 year old film maker after assisting Imtiaz Ali , was creatively involved is now looking at directing her own film for the first time.
The story is about two little girls growing up to become the most beautiful women. The film is about finding hope is being released by Rahul Mittra and has been shot in Shimla and Delhi last year and few remaining shots were wrapped up in April this year.
Manisha Koirala plays the title role of ' Maya Devi' who has lost touch with life. After hearing the script of the film, the actress immediately agreed to play the role and said she had loved it wanted to be a part of the film.Basically the film is about women who can portray different shades of life , happy, dark and everything they feel. Sunaina gushes that Manisha Koirala is a brilliant actress and a great support too.
While Manisha embarks on a quest for hope, the actress says she had made bad choices in the past but now time is precious and she is choosing her roles carefully.
Quiz her on her mentor, Imtiaz, and she raves that he is one of the best directors in the country with a rare ability to look into every intricate detail. "I have imbibed that quality from him. His feedback during the editing process was also valuable," says Sunaina.
