Superstar talks about Bollywood vs Hollywood and why there is a fear of Hollywood taking over Bollywood in India.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan pointed out that there is a fear of Hollywood taking over Bollywood in India. The superstar mentions this in reference to the few areas like script writing, screenplay, marketing , professionalism and technology need more attention as well the use of technology.


Shah Rukh Khan who has been in the Bollywood film industry over 25 years added that the language barrier is not as much as it was earlier and there are more digital platforms and accessibility has been better to content from all over the world.

He says Bollywood needs to learn from Hollywood and adapt  and talked about the dynamics of Bollywood as compared with that of Hollywood.  He recently talked about all this during the recent visit of the American actor Brad Pitt.

Shah Rukh Khan also indicated that the success of International films in the domestic market is because of the shift in the trend and language has not been a barrier any more as the films like Spider Man and Fast and Furious etc did well even in Hindi language or the films are being dubbed as well.

The super star asserts that filmmaking doesn't mean singing and dancing and that there is a lot learn from Hollywood and it's like a college we have for reference to bring about a change.

He went on to say there are many wonderful stories to tell but we have not captured all of it and there is lot more than just dancing and singing.   The owner of the production company Red Chillies Entertainment banner with his wife Gauri Khan, he says as a producer he would like to push forward films that producers don't want to produce. 

Red Chillies Entertainment and Netfix have a signed a long term deal together under which Shah Rukh Khan the superstar of Bollywood will be exclusively available to the Netfix members globally.  Netfix which has opened the doors for filmmakers and has boost the democratisation of filmmaking.
