Top 3 Boman Irani roles

First of all, wishing a very happy birthday to the exceptional actor Boman Irani . The versatile actor has entertained us in numerous roles from varied films. On the eve of his birthday, here we write about what we think are his Top 3 roles.

3. Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006)

In this hilarious film about a middle class family trying to get back their land from a land shark, Boman Irani had the most mean role. As the aforementioned land shark, he was at his nasty best. It was Dibakar Banerjee’s first film as a director, and he extracted a rather nuanced performance from Irani.

2. Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006)

The sequel had Boman Irani playing a ruthless Sikh builder. Trust Irani to slip under the skin of a character and bring it alive. He had perfected the mannerisms of a turban-clad builder and was equally devastating and funny in equal parts. It is his great skill as an actor that despite the black character he manages to evoke empathy in you as a caring dad.

1. Munnabhai MBBS (2003)

The role that shot him to fame. It catapulted him into the big league. Boman Irani just nailed the character of the disciplinarian dean of medical college J. Asthana. Though Sanjay Dutt was exceptional in his role as Munna, the film would not have been half as impactful if not for Boman’s Asthana

Here’s what we feel are the fine actor’s top 3 performances. Let us know what you feel his best performances are.
