Among the Kapoor in the films, Aadar Jain is the nephew to Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor. His cousins are Karishma, Kareena, Ranbir Kapoor.
Though there was so much of Bollywood influence on him with most of his family being superstars of the Hindi Cinema, he had no clue about acting and wasn’t sure if he wanted to join the bandwagon and become and actor.
He loved sports and was never interested in studies too. A backbencher that he calls himself, he was inclined to music and thus played drums and was a part of the theatre. He was bunking classes and that’s when he realized he wanted to become and actor and expressed to his parents.
It wasn’t easy like his cousins whose parents were also stars, but Aadar Jain's parents were into business. He went to USA to complete his studies for two years and he returned to assist Farah Khan in the film Happy New Year and later assisted Karan Johar in his 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He was able to spend a lot of time with Ranbir Kapoor during the sets.
Being the youngest family member of the Kapoor clan, he recalls that he was always showered with gifts from his older cousins . But he clears the fact that they did not belong to the Royal family and his upbringing was normal like any other kid. Sunday’s was a family lunch at his grandparent’s place in Chembur where he met all his aunt’s and uncles and cousins. He is closer to Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima as the other two cousins, Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor as he says were already stars and busy with films.
He admits his mother is very close to her brother Rishi Kapoor. He also remembers the xmas spent with his Nana’s brother Shashi Kapoor and his family.
In an interview Aadar mentioned that his childhood days were mostly spent with his illustrious cousins and his own love for sports.
