Aadar Jain

e grandson of the showman and legend Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor. ( Reema Kapoor is their daughter) 

Among the Kapoor in the films,  Aadar Jain is the nephew to Randhir Kapoor, Rishi  Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor.  His cousins are Karishma, Kareena, Ranbir Kapoor.

Though there was so much of Bollywood influence on him with most of his family being superstars of the Hindi Cinema, he had no clue about acting and wasn’t sure if he wanted to join the bandwagon and become and actor.

He loved sports and was never interested in studies too. A backbencher that he calls himself, he was inclined to music and thus played drums and was a part of the theatre.  He was bunking classes and that’s when he realized he wanted to become and actor and expressed to his parents.

It wasn’t easy like his cousins whose parents were also stars, but Aadar Jain's parents were into business.  He went to USA to complete his studies for two years and he returned to assist Farah Khan in the film Happy New Year and later assisted Karan Johar in his 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.  He was able to spend a lot of time with Ranbir Kapoor during the sets.

Being the youngest family member of the Kapoor clan, he recalls that he was always showered with gifts from his older cousins . But he clears the fact that they did not belong to the Royal family and his upbringing was normal like any other kid.  Sunday’s was a family lunch at his grandparent’s place in Chembur where he met all his aunt’s and uncles and cousins. He is closer to Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima as the other two cousins, Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor as he says were already stars and busy with films.

He admits his mother is very close to her brother Rishi Kapoor.  He also remembers the xmas spent with his Nana’s brother Shashi Kapoor and his family.

In an interview Aadar mentioned that his childhood days were mostly spent with his illustrious cousins and his own love for sports.

After Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor took the Kapoor Legacy forward in Bollywood it was time for their youngest cousin Aadar to set his mark in the film industry.

Aadar had given his audition in at least 30 to 40 auditions by Habib Faisal.  He got his first lead role in YRF,s upcoming Qaidi Band an Aditya Chopra film, starring opposite Anya Singh . The film was released in 2017 on August 25th . The film had received rave critic views.

He had a great mentor like Aditya Chopra to begin his career in the film and worked under a great director as Habib Faisal from whom he learnt a lot.

After his directorial assistance during the making of Ae Dil Hai Muskhkil, he was doing his regular stuff like dancing and acting classes.  Shanoo Sharma was on look out for someone. He had bumped into her and those days Aadar was very young but she asked him if he wanted to act and was asked to do some scenes from films like Salaam Namastey, Band Baaja Baraat and Ishaqzaade. And in few days she had called him to go and meet Aditya Chopra and that Habib Faisal had liked his auditions and he was selected for his debut role.

The film also marked the debut of Anya Singh in the lead opposite him in the film.

Aadar is a great admirer of Farhan Akhtar . His first television break was given by Farhan for the Oye! It’s Friday.



Aadar Jain when you look at him at first glance he does resemble the Kapoors and has striking resembles to Ranbir Kapoor being from the same family.
