Akshay Sethi started his career with modelling featuring in some of the major brands like Hero Honda, Limca, Rediff and Big Bazaar. Due to his stint in modelling, facing a camera eventually led him to his television debut in 2004 with Saat Phere. He has had a prolific career in the world of advertising and in his professional arts.
Akshay Sethi as a television actor is best known for his popular double role in the Star Plus Series Sasural Genda Phool. He established himself as one of the prominent faces of the Television industry as a lead and character driven roles.
Some of the career highlights are his role in Saat Phere, Saloni Ka Safar as Yug, As Deepak in Sasural Genda Phool, as Raunak in Grihasti and as Akshat Bali in Rahe Tera Aashirwaad.
He is popular in the crime and thriller anthologies like the C.I.D, Aadalat, Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India.
His performance on the small screen opened up several major projects leading to diverse roles across various networks in the entertainment industry.
He played the lead role in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom in 2007-2008, Saath Nibhaana Saaathiya in 2010 besides the other shows that he was popularly recognized for.
His most recent work is his participating in the Box Cricket League 3 for the Lucknow Nawabs in 2018 and more recently in 2023,Akshay had appeared in the series, Swaraj playing the role of Sidhu Murumu further cementing his place as a seasoned performer in the Indian television landscape.
