Biography
Rijul Ray debuts in Bollywood. He will be essaying the role of Dev Pratap Jamwal, from an influential political background, in the film Adhura, a supernatural film set in a boarding school.
Rijul has been a VO artist and a theatre actor. Ray had started his voice-over career in 2011. He has done many voice-overs for radio, web series, and television commercials, to name a few. His main passion lies in doing character voices and particularly for animated films. He is excellent with mimicry with international accents, or is very good with character voices or the brand tag line voice-overs.
He has made a mark in Bollywood as an actor in Love, Sitara, a film released in 2024 in Hindi, directed by Vandana Kataria and produced by Ronnie Screw Wala under the RSVP Movies production. Rijul Ray essayed the role of Majeed along with Sobhita Dhulipala and Rajeev Siddhartha. The film was released on Zee5 on the 27th September 2024 and received positive reviews. The film is all about the complexities of modern relationships, the dysfunctional family backgrounds and what it takes to overcome the truth and start leading a normal life.
The pre-production for the film had begun in 2019, commenced by Principal photography in February 2020, and was postponed until November 2020 as the COVID-19 Pandemic started with a lockdown. The film was mainly shot in Kerala and Mumbai, and the film wrapped up by the end of December 2020. The soundtrack for the film Love, Sitara was composed by Sangeet-Sidharth with lyrics provided by Rashmin Dighe and Garima Obrah.
