Vardhan Puri, Grandson of Late Amrish Puri did his Mass Communications from Mumbai University followed by acting course in FTII in Pune.
Vardhan Puri has started training from the age of five under the guidance of his Grandfather’s mentor Satyadev Dubey the National Award Winning Actor and film maker and writer. He also was trained with acting gurus like Athar Nawaz, Neeraj Kabi, Vidur Chaturvedi,, Mujeeb Khan and Faezeh Jalali
Vardhan Puri’s primary interest was towards writing and film direction however the new star kid revealed his first love was always to be an actor following the footsteps of his famous grandfather. Late Amrish Puri, whom he respected and reverend nothing less than God.
Speaking about his grand father Vardhan has been trained by his grandfather, following his advice his interests, and the young actor reveals he was extremely close to his his grandparents and the legendary actor’s death left a big void in his life and getting into the film industry one way of fulfilling his grandfather’s wishes and aspirations. The young aspiring actor said his films will be an ode to the memory of his grandfather.
He spent his childhood watching films with Amrish Puri, watching old films and attending sessions with him. His most favorite being Amrish Puri’s old films with Shyam Benegal and Govind Nihalani.

Amrish Puri’s grandson Vardhan makes his debut in the Romantic thriller film and is all set to make his entry in Bollywood. Although he has a stiff competition with superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and young actors like Varun Dhawan, Rajkummar Rao who continue to rule Bollywood, Vardhan will create his space among the new generation star kid’s generation in the industry.
He will make his debut with the film produced by Jayantilal Gada. The shooting is expected to start by Sept 2019 in Delhi and Simla.
His earlier connection with the film industry was not just with his legendary grandfather the late Amrish Puri but also as an assistant during the making of Ishqzaade, Shudh Desi Romance and Daawat-e-Ishq.
