Biography
Shweta Rohira made her acting debut in the short film Parineeti in 2018 directed by Sunil Thadani. She gained recognition playing the lead role in one of the most acclaimed play, ‘That’s My Girl’ in the same year, written and directed by Veteran theatre personality Bharat Dabholkar. Her performance in the play was appreciated by many actors and critics like Jackie Shroff, Javed Jafferi, by the veteran actresses, Waheeda Rehman and Asha Parekh. Waheeda Rehman had commented on Shweta’s performance by calling it, ‘ chota pataka, and bada dhamaka.
Tarun Adarsh also praised Rohira’s performance as a fantastic stage debut. And many other from the film and theatre shared appreciating and encouraging words.
Shweta was next seen in the short film, ‘Spotless’ opposite singer Sonu Nigam and the film was directed by Saurabh M. Pandey which was selected for several National and International film festivals. She has then acted in the film, ‘Break the Shackles’ for Madame Brand directed by Kushal Srivastava which was released on the You Tube for which she had once again gained lot of appreciation for the subject was based on the Dowry system in India.
Shweta Rohira’s latest release is a short film, ‘Girl Talk’ directed by Aneeta Patel and is also doing a Hindi play called, ‘ Blind Date’ alongside of television actors Karan Sharma and R. J. Pritam Singh.
