‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’ Is India’s First Film To Enter Rs 1000 Crore Club

Never in the history of Indian cinema, a region film created the kind of box office collection that SS Rajamouli‘s magnum opus Telugu film Baahubali 2: The Conclusion created at the box-office in India. The film shattered all the box-office records by amassing an unbelievable Rs 1000 Crore thus becoming the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide!!

 

What’s more, what all the Khans of Bollywood could not achieve was done by South Superstar Prabhas as Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion starring Prabhas in the lead role collected a whopping Rs 122 crore on its first day of release!!! Interestingly, when it took 3 to 4 weeks in 2018 to reach the reputed Rs 100 crore club surprisingly Baahubali 2: The Conclusion stunned trade pundits across the universe as Baahubali 2: The Conclusion grossed Rs 5.26 Crore in its First Week!!! Overall in net, the film collected an incredible Rs 1,810 Crore!!!

 

Filmed simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. The film was not only brilliant in its content but was smartly marketed. Since the film was tied up with Bollywood film mogul Karan Johar hence the film generated a lot of curiosity in North India. Already the film was a huge craze in South India thus the combination of North and South India worked in the favor of the film and the film created history.

 

The film broke the record of Aamir Khan‘s Dhoom 3 as it was released across India in 6500 screens as against Dhoom 3 which was released in 4500 screens in India. Overall the film was released in more than 9,000 plus screens worldwide- thus setting a new record of First Indian Film to have the widest release. The film also created the record in overseas as it became the first Indian film to cross $20 million in the USA and to cross over $10 million in the United Arab Emirates.

 

The film set another record of longest-running at theaters. In the days of multiplexes when films run for a maximum of 3 or 4 weeks, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion ran for non-stop 16 weeks!!! Further, the film celebrated 50 days jubilation at an unbelievable 1050 screens across the country.
