'Badi Maramari Chalri Hai, No One Is Going To Watch Movies In Theatres' Amitabh Bachchan Requests Fans To Watch “Uunchai”
Ahead of the film
Uunchai going to be released on 11th November, Amitabh Bachchan requested his fans and his
audience of KBC to watch this film.
The Superstar recently
hosted his co-stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Neena Gupta on his quiz show
Kaun Banega Crorepati. During the special episode the actor is said to have
made a request to his audience asking them to visit the theatre to watch the
upcoming film ‘Uunchai’.
He said the thrill of
going to a theatre, booking tickets and watching a film on the big screen is a
great experience and the charm is totally a fun time. He also added a humor stating requesting
his viewers to go to the theatre to see him and said, ‘ Badi Maramari Chal Ri
Hai ‘ to see him as these days not many go to the theatres to watch films!! With
folded palms, I appeal to buy a ticket and see the film in the theatre. There is a different joy seeing the film on
the big screen. These days people are
avoiding theatre and missing out the fun. Buying a ticket and experiencing the
film viewing is great source of entertainment.
Actress Neena Gupta,
his co-star in the film also mentioned in the show that the tickets ae priced
at Rs. 300 and Rs.400/- and as low as
Rs. 150/- and she joked saying you should mention this as well to the audience
which had the audience in spilts.
The
situation is very tough these days; no one is going to theatre. I join my hands
and request you to buy tickets and watch our movie in theatres).”
Neena
Gupta added that the prices of tickets are
also down from ₹300-400 to ₹150 and asked Amitabh to tell this as well to the
audience. This left him and the audience in splits.
They
shared a lot of humor and the audience enjoyed the show as they could see their
favorite stars on a lighter note in real.. Neena Gupta said during the making
of the film Amitabh Bachchan had fever but he went about doing his part of the
shoot that needed to be in the sun! She passed a comment that Amitabh Bachchan
whom she admired so much has to do so much for a living!! Even work when he is unwell. The viewers at KBC lapped up the good humor
in the right spirit and the show was entertaining that also sent a message
across to watch the film Uunchai in the theatres. Neena also mentioned she was so motivated by
the energy and the zest shown by Amitabh Bachchan.
Uunchai
is a film about four friends, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and
Danny Denzongpa in their twilight years go on a trek to Mt. Everest facing
challenges that ends with a personal emotional and a spiritual journey. The
film by Sooraj Barjatya has portrayed each of their battles with the physical limitations
due to age factor and how they discover their true freedom. Neena Gupta has a cameo role as Boman Irani’s
wife while yesteryear actress Sarika I Danny Denzongpa’s ex partner.
