Do You Know Amitabh Bachchan Had Refused The Role In A Film And Danny Denzongpa’s Career Began With That Film As The Top Villain?

We
all know that Danny was signed for the role of Gabbar Singh in the film Sholay
and he had refused a role in Feroz Khan’s film Dharmatma and he let go of a
very important film and similarly Amitabh Bachchan also refused a film which
went to Danny Denzongpa from which his film career as a villain began.
In
the 1970’s B.R. Chopra was working on his film ‘Dhund’ and he had offered a
role to Amitabh Bachchan as a powerful villain but Amitabh Bacchhan wasn’t
interested in portraying himself as a villain after his hit film Anand and he
worked along his way only with roles in the lead as a hero of the film.
The
villain’s role that Amitabh Bachchan had rejected was then offered to
Shatrughan Sinha by B.R. Chopra. Danny
Denzongpa was visiting his office with a hope of getting a role in his films but
the film maker did not offer him the role, as it demanded a senior looking man
while Danny had the looks of a young boy and hence was not suited for the role.
But Danny had not given up. One of Danny’s friends was B.R. Chopra’s
assistant director who informed him that Shatrughan Sinha was out of the film
too as he had reached the sets 2 hours late so B.R. Chopra was angry and he
removed him from the film and he was therefore on lookout for a villain for the
film.
When Danny got to know this he immediately
started taking rounds to B.R. Chopra’s office and he wore his best make up and
showed him his best acting skills due to which Chopra was very impressed and he
was signed for the film. Danny not only
had won B.R. Chopra’s heart but also when the film released, he also won the
hearts of the viewers who loved his acting and his performance in the film and
with this film hit Danny also became the top villain of the Hindi film
Industry.
