Do You Know That Even Mohd Rafi Lost His Temper And Would Get Angry!

Mohd Rafi was one of the most popular, famous and well known playback singer of India. His fame was not just in India but also all over the world, his voice and song selection was much appreciated. Naushad, Dilip Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Shankar Jaikishen, Shami Kapoor, Dev Anand, Rishi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor and many other actors and musicians were very close to Mohd Rafi and they all knew he was one of the most calmest and peaceful person. Film actor Johny Walker’s maximum number of songs were sung by Mohd Rafi which he had spoken about in an interview.

Mohd Rafi would always be the first one to greet no matter who it was. He would be the first one to greet Johnny Walker before the latter could stand up to greet first.  Rafi was a famous personality but it so happened Rafi would end up greeting first. Besides this Mohd Rafi is known for many good qualities like he would lend his voice free of cost to the new musicians or he would silently help the poor or any needy. Whoever came to meet Rafi saab he would have calmness and smile on his face. He was always very soft spoken and a thorough gentleman and he never probably ever had a disagreement or an argument in the film industry.

Once it so happened that he had got upset and was angry for a reason. A film journalist saw the anger on his face in Mehboob studio recording with Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar. The song went on to become a super hit that the film producer asked the spot boy to go and buy a bunch of flowers. The spot boy came back with just two bouquets of flowers. The producer gifted one to Lata Mangeshkar and the second bouquet as he held in his hand, Mohd Rafi stood up to receive the second bouquet, but the producer ignored his presence and handed over the bouquet to Kishore Kumar.

This was in 1970 when Kishore Kumar was very successful and Mohd Rafi’s career was seeing a downfall and it is believed that to impress and keep him happy the, bouquet was gifted to Kishore Kumar. Seeing this, Rafi saab was very upset and felt insulted.  Mohd Rafi had helped this producer during his bad times. He had even given one of this houses free of cost for him to stay and the moment the producer started rising in his career and he was successful he had forgotten all the support rendered by Mohd Rafi Saab.
