The storyline of the movie revolves around Dr. Ram Prasad lives happily with his wife and brother Bharat who is an engineer. Later Bharat dies after being falsely accused of a murder and Dr. Ram plans to avenge his death.

The star cast of the movie includes Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Deepak Tijori and Arbaaz Ali Khan. Sunny Deol was offered the role of Arbaaz Ali Khan but he refused the offer as he was busy shooting for Border.
