Revenge and Justice Exploring The Story Of 'Andhaa Kanoon' The 1983 Action Drama

This film that we are going to talk about today is Andhaa Kanoon which means Blind Law, released in 1983. In this film we will see Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance. Andhaa Kanoon is directed by Tatineni Rama Rao. The leading star cast for this film are Rajnikant and Hema Malini and in supporting roles are Prem Chopra, Danny Denzongpa, Madan Puri and AmrishPuri. The film is a remake of a Tamil Film Sattam Oru Iruttarai released in 1981.

An action-drama film that begins with Vijay Singh’s vengeance and seeking justice by wanting to take revenge against three men Amar Akbar Anthony who had traumatized and killed his family members.  Vijay has a sister who has joined the police force, is also on the same path to take revenge through lawful means. However, Vijay decides to kill them one by one by taking law into his hands.

One day Vijay (essayed by Rajnikant) meets an angry and frustrated Jaan Nisar Khan, essayed by Amitabh Bachchan, who has just been released from the prison. Jaan Nisar Khan used to be a respectable Forest Officer and he lived happily with his wife Zakhiya and a daughter. Jaan Nisar Khan had challenged some poachers in the forest while he was on duty and when they retaliated, a struggle and fight lead to Jaan Nisar Khan killing one of them and he is charged of murder and sent to the prison. While he is in prison his young wife is raped and with the shock, she kills herself and her daughter. Khan is devastated and decides to join hands with Vijay seeking to take revenge against their enemies.

The story moves forward with the three strong people Khan, Durga and Vijay coming together to avenge the enemies.
