Amitabh is a mega star today. He is century’s only superstar who has bagged national award for his outstanding acting for four times and the Indian government has conferred him with Padma Shree and Padma Vibhushan. A star earns the fame as big as his struggle. His life story proves it true. He was rejected primly for his height and his voice. His height was considered too tall and the voice was considered too husky. He received denial from many directors and failed an audition at All India Radio. He was also told to leave and stop trying for films. After a lot of trials, he got his first break in Saat Hindustani, but didn’t do well on screens (Though he won the best new comer’s national award).  And he gave a series of flop movies of the time. 13 movies in a sequence, Bombay talkie, Parwana, Bhuvan Shome, Reshma Aur Shera, to name a few were all flops. But he did not lose hope. Finally, he signed Zanjeer and did wonderfully outstanding in the movie. And he gave many hits one after one in the same year. He then, became a name synonymous to a big star Angry Young Man. Every film producer knew that if he cast Amitabh, he had a hit. His life story teaches us: “Never take NO as an answer.”
