The Shahenshah Of Bollywood Has Done Highest Number Of Double Roles, Here Is Why!

Our favourite classic megastar Amitabh Bachchan holds the record having played dual roles in fifteen films; the other close competitors are Kader KhanGovinda and Rajesh Khanna. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is amongst the fortunate few who had the opportunity to play double role in several films.
He has played double roles in variety of stories including thriller, comedy and drama. Most of the double roles played by him are from the era when revenge stories were hit. Interestingly in 1982 alone he had three films in which he played double role- Satte Pe Satta (look-alikes), Bemisal (brothers) and Desh Premee (father-son). This remains a unique and commendable feather in his cap. Both in 1978 and 1999 he had two double-role releases each- Don and Kasme Waade in 1978 and Lal Baadshah and Sooryavansham in 1999. Other movies where he played double role are Adalat, the great gambler, MahaanAakhree raastaToofanBade Miyan Chhote Miyaan and Hum Kaun Hai.

He also played one triple role in Mahaan. While shooting for Satte Pe SattaHema Malini was pregnant and still accepted the role because this role was offered to Rekha and had stopped signing films with her by that time. His last double role film was Hum Kaun HaiAmitabh had a belief that the films having his double roles, used to be hits and hence he used to sign more of double roles!
