“7G” is a horror thriller film written and directed by Haroon under the Dream House banner. The film stars Sonia Agarwal, Smruthi Venkat, Siddharth Vipin, and Roshan Basheer and is a story of a family's spine-chilling encounter with the supernatural in their new home. "Rajiv and Varsha", along with their five-year-old son Rahul, move to Flat 7G, hoping to begin anew. Their utopian dream house becomes a nightmare for Varsha as she starts noticing paranormal activity. There are ghostly visions, weird sounds, and shadows that are inexplicable and jolt her senses, but Rajiv attributes all this to imagination. As the experiences of Varsha become more and more vivid, she understands that the dark entity of the house is not merely attempting to frighten them: it is fixated on something sinister. When Rahul begins to behave abnormally, speaking strange words and waking up with strange injuries, Varsha understands that she has no other option but to reveal the dark secrets of the house before it is too late. Desperate to get to the bottom of things, Varsha seeks out a ghost hunter, and what he learns about Flat 7G and its past is not at all pleasant. Their resident specter isn't any ordinary ghost: it's furious, deadly, and is determined not to let them live to tell the story. With time running out, Varsha has a choice she can't afford to lose: to stay and battle to keep her home, or give up everything and rescue her family? While its generic haunted house premise is familiar, “7G” is able to create moments of fear and tension due to Sonia Agarwal's performance. Stereotypical male heroes and a tried formula, however, spoil the film, making it appear to be just another horror genre fare. But for the fans of classic haunted house thriller films, “7G” does deliver jumpscares, creepy environments, and some unexpected twists and turns here and there.
