“Adavi” is a Tamil-language romantic action film. It was directed by G. Ramesh and produced under Shri Krish Picture by K. Sambasivam. Vinoth Krishan plays the role of Murugan, while Ammu Abhirami portrays Valli and R. N. R. Manohar is the antagonist, who is an estate owner.
The story revolves around a peaceful tribe that has lived in harmony with nature for generations. Living in their land is like life to them - whatever they have and need they get from that land. Now, a wicked estate owner by the name R. N. R. Manohar sets his avaricious eye on his piece of land with a plot in league with various business people for a wicked mission to grab this terrain and evict these people with violent means.
The movie revolves around the young man, bold and brave, “Murugan” (Vinoth Krishan), who will not let people be taken advantage of and dispossessed. He confronts the estate owner’s deceitful tactics and takes a vow to protect his homeland. With him is “Valli” (Ammu Abhirami), another strong-willed woman who shares the same love for the lands and supports his fight.
Tensions are stretched to breaking point, but the tribal people come together in unity, using their long knowledge of the forest to outwit the rapacious invaders. They set traps, fight back and demonstrate that their spirit cannot be crushed. The estate owner is not going to yield easily though and there is a showdown between powerful forces of greed and the resilience of the indigenous people.
“Adavi” is a must-watch for fans of action-packed dramas with a strong social message.
