“Anjaamai” is a legal drama film directed and written by S. P. Subburaman on his directorial debut. The film was produced by Dr. M. Thirunavukarasu and distributed under Dream Warrior Pictures. Vidharth, Vani Bhojan, and Rahman play lead roles in the film.

The movie is all about "Sarkar" (Vidharth), a honest farmer who resides in the village of Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. Sarkar's long-lasting dream is that his elder son "Arundhavam" (Krithik Mohan) should become a doctor. Sarkar would do anything to achieve his son's dreams. His aspiration comes crumbling down in a big way when the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) turns into a compulsion to study medicine.

The new test poses a huge challenge to rural students like Arundhavam. With no coaching and study materials available, he is finding it difficult to prepare for the test. Sarkar, seeing the injustice that his son has to endure, turns to social activist “Manikkam” (Rahman) for assistance. The two organize a protest against the system that denies poor students access to higher education.

While Arundhavam makes the round trip to Jaipur, Rajasthan, for the examination, Sarkar and his family hold their breath for the outcome. The film reminds us of the father's emotional turmoil of fighting a privilege-based education system that discriminates. Will Arundhavam prevail over challenges? Or will Sarkar's unwavering fight against the system bring about the revolution that the nation so badly needs?

“Anjaamai” is a powerful character drama that juxtaposes the struggle of rural students and their parents against an unequal education system. It is a story of grit, sacrifice, and the invincible father's love for the future of his son.
