Ranjeet, played by Rajat Kapoor, is a successful music producer and happily married to Sheetal, played by Sarika, a film singer. Ranjeet has a good time with his friends every Friday by throwing a party and inviting weirdos to humiliate them but pretending in front of them that they are talented. One of Ranjeet’s friend’s happens to meet a funny character Bharat Bhushan, played by Vinay Pathak, who works in the income tax department. He tells Ranjeet about him and he promptly invites him for dinner.
Bharat is a chatter-box and keeps praising his singing talent. He also carries his scrap book with him, which has his musical journey in it. Bharat is a helpful and kindhearted but can be annoying for people around him. When Friday arrives, Ranjeet has sprained his back and in pain. Sheetal meanwhile has walked out after an argument with him. He nevertheless decides to have the party. Bharat arrives and wants to help Ranjeet. He asks him to call his doctor but Bharat accidentally calls Ranjeet’s girlfriend Suman. Ranjeet is desperate to find Sheetal and Bharat accidentally calls her ex boyfriend Anant.
In all the confusion Suman ends up telling Bharat that Ranjeet has invited him only to make fun of him but Bharat is good hearted and forgives him and tries to mend the relations between Sheetal and Ranjeet. The movie is directed by Sagar Ballary and produced by Sunil Doshi.
