Blank is a high-stakes, sharp action thriller movie. Behzad Khambata wrote and directed the film. The main cast features veteran actor Sunny Deol and debutant Karan Kapadia. Ishita Dutta and Karanvir Sharma also star in key roles. The film is about a terrorist who loses his memory right before a huge bomb attack. A very tough cop must decide if the terrorist is lying or honestly telling the truth.
The story starts with a massive and deadly terrorist plot. An unnamed young man, played by Karan Kapadia, is the key person in this plan. He has live bombs strapped to his body. They are ready to be detonated across the city of Mumbai. However, he is involved in a severe car accident. When he wakes up, he has complete memory loss. He remembers nothing about who he is or his deadly mission. He cannot recall the bombs or his partners. The police capture him immediately at the scene of the crash.
The dangerous case is quickly assigned to Special Agent Diwan (Sunny Deol). Diwan is a highly respected, seasoned counter-terrorism officer. He is completely convinced the captured man is just faking his memory loss. Diwan sees him only as a dangerous, ticking time bomb and a threat. He believes the man's partners are still planning their attack. Diwan feels intense pressure to stop the bombs and save the city. He decides to use a direct and ruthless solution. He plans an extrajudicial encounter to quickly end the threat. However, the amnesiac man’s genuine confusion makes Diwan question his drastic plan.
This movie shows the tension between national security and moral choices. It explores very dilemmas under extreme pressure. The film asks a challenging question: Can a person’s guilt disappear if their memory is truly gone? Audiences should watch Blank for the thrilling cat-and-mouse game between the suspect and the cop. It delivers intense action and very strong performances. It is a smart, fast-paced story that keeps you completely guessing about the real truth.
