Boxer

Boxer is an upcoming Tamil sports drama directed and written by Vivek, produced under the banner of V. Mathiyalagan’s Etcetera Entertainment. The film stars Arun Vijay in the lead role, He's joined by Ritika Singh as the female lead. Leon James is in charge of the music, and Markus A. Ljungberg took care of cinematography. Boxer hopes to pack a punch with a mix of sports action and heartfelt drama, all set in the world of boxing and love for one's country.

Arun Vijay totally changed his appearance for this role, doing extensive martial arts and boxing training overseas to make his character believable. Ritika Singh, who has a background in combat sports, plays a journalist who has her own goals in the boxing scene, adding another layer to the story. The characters that they play add a lot of substance to the story.

The film was first mentioned a while back, but there’s no confirmed release date just yet. There were whispers that the whole thing might get cancelled, but Arun Vijay made it clear that wasn't true. He mentioned that he put a lot of effort into getting ready for the role. The film needed a lot from him, both physically and mentally, and it could only move ahead when the people in charge had a solid plan.
