Bujji at Anupatti is a Tamil drama movie written, directed, and produced by Raam Kandasamy under the banner of Kavilayaa Creations. The film stars Karthik Vijay, Lavanya Kanmani, and Pranithi Sivasankaran in lead roles.
Young Durga (Pranithi Sivasankaran) and her elder brother Saravanan (Karthik Vijay) live in the village of Uthukuli with their parents in a farmhouse owned by the wealthy landlord Shiva. The family is employed as farmers by him and are struggling to make ends meet.
Durga and Saravanan, on their way back home one day, see an abandoned baby goat. They take it in, name it Bujji, and are attached to it. Bujji is the ray of hope in their otherwise bleak life. Their joy, however, is reversed when their father, an habitual drunkard, clandestinely sells Bujji to obtain liquor. Durga's heart aches from separation, and she refuses to accept it. She convinces Saravanan to accompany her and fetch back Bujji.
With the strong will to get Bujji, the brothers set out. Along the way, they meet Dharshini (Lavanya Kanmani), who is a poor orphan girl working as a maid for a wealthy household. They become friends and she accompanies them on their adventure. The three of them then find out where Bujji was, but they realize later that they lack money to buy the goat back.
Meanwhile, Shiva learns that the children are missing and starts searching for them. Meanwhile, the children navigate through a series of challenges, meeting different people—some of whom help and others who become obstacles. The film has two simultaneous storylines: one of the children trying to get back their pet, which they adore, and the other of Shiva desperately searching for them.
Will Durga and Saravanan succeed in their mission? Will Shiva reach them in time? Bujji at Anupatti is a heart-wrenching tale of love, innocence, and survival, highlighting the strong bonds of family and friendship.
