Chimni is a forthcoming Hindi horror thriller, and it is the actress Sameera Reddy's directorial debut after a break of 13 years. Gagan Puri is the director of the film and Nitesh Kumar is the producer with his company Shah Creative Entertainment. Sameera, who portrays the character 'Kali' in three different life stages voicing the lead character, is joined by Prachi Thakur, Saurabh Agnihotri, and Aditya Kumar among the other actors.
This eerie thriller is a mix of folktale and feelings. The horrifying tale tells about Kali, a mother who goes to any extent and fights the evil spirit to save her daughter from a strong and wicked ghost that is living in a haunted Chanderi palace. The story is based on a very shocking medical case called 'fetus in fetu,' and therefore, it can draw the audience to the theme of maternal protection against the paranormal in a very unique way through horror. Thus, it has a chilling ground.
As the official teaser has been unveiled, the full-length film is expected to be released in 2026 in cinemas. Horror lovers now have to gear up for an experience that is not only intense and emotional but also metaphorical, as the horror of dark folklore combined with a grounded, chilling medical mystery will be a truly unsettling cinematic event.
