“Conjuring Kannappan” is a Tamil horror-comedy film directed by Selvin Raj Xavier in his directorial debut and produced by AGS Entertainment. Regina Cassandra, Sathish, and the movie follows the plot of a gang trapped in a haunted dream, attempting to flee.

“Kannappan” is an aspiring influencer, a fan of games but failing to find a job. His laid-back life gets out of hand when a boy he befriends playing an online game spends ₹10 lakh of in-game money, and his gangster uncle, Devil Armstrong, instructs Kannappan to reimburse him. Kannappan discovers an old dreamcatcher near the well and unconsciously plucks a feather off it. That night, Kannappan experiences a terrifying nightmare in which the ghosts attack him inside a mysterious palace. Every time he sleeps, he remains trapped in the same nightmare. Seeking help, Kannappan invokes the services of “Exorcist Ezhumalai”, who instructs him not to leave the dreamcatcher in the hands of anybody else. However, his family, “Devil Armstrong”, and his counselor, “Dr. Johnny”, all unconsciously pluck out feathers, dragging them into the same nightmare.

Ezhumalai and paranormal researcher Dark Deves dig deep into and expose the evil history of the palace. Years back, a sadistic individual by the name of Robert Langdon brutally tortured his wife, Magdalene, who was in love with a soldier named William. A white witch created the dreamcatcher to unite Magdalene and William in a world of dreams, but Robert discovered it, entered the dream, and killed them both before taking his own life. Their spirits are held captive, and the only way to release them is to kill Robert's spirit within the dream.

Kannappan and his team go to extremes to end the nightmare. Although the dreamcatcher ruse fails, Kannappan sets Robert's voodoo doll ablaze, freeing finally the trapped spirits. Calling upon “Kannappan” mixes horror and humor, providing an action-packed but laugh-filled ride through supernatural chaos.
